What Are You Working On? is for all things hand-made, home-made, and creative in a variety of mediums.
We, my family and I, like homemade gifts. The Christmas tree hubby and I put up every year has some of these. The bird in the lower right was a gift from a sister who is deceased. The Santa on the left is hand carved. The counted cross stitches I made. There are some “normal” ornaments, most of which are family “heirlooms” that are hand painted and at least 50 years old.
I made a few gifts this Christmas as always. One was to a friend whose partner of almost 40 years died this summer.

The most time consuming project I did was a quilted throw for my sister.

And because handmade gifts don’t always happen on time, I am working on a gift for a niece. It will be a pillow. It is still in an unfinished format. I have a Santa sleigh and reindeer buttons for the top and I need to put a sign on the fence that says Haury’s Farm. The red barn is on her Grandmother’s farm which she loved. I’m sure I’ll post it when it is fully done, which I hope is this week.

How about you? Any handmade gifts for yourself, or for family and friends?
